How Is It Given?

It is given as an infusion into a vein.

What Are Common Side Effects?

You may face some of these side effects:

  • Low blood count
  • Feeling tired or weak
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Increased liver enzymes
  • Mouth sores
  • Tingling and numbness of hands or feet
  • Hair loss

Your doctor can prescribe medication to control these side effects. Carboplatin may also cause other side effects. If you face any unusual or serious problems, inform your doctor immediately.
