What Is It Prescribed For? 

For the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC; cancer that has spread to other body parts) that has shown EGFR mutations.

How Is It Given?

It is available in tablet form and is taken by mouth once a day. It should be taken at around the same time every day with or without food.

What Are Common Side Effects?

You may face some of these side effects:

  • Diarrhea
  • Weight loss
  • Dry skin
  • Skin rashes, acne, and itching
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Inflammation and soreness of mouth and gut
