Smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer all over the world. If you have never had the habit of smoking, it is certainly best never to start it. Also, you must talk to your children at home about smoking and its consequences so they will know how to deal with peer pressure.

Quit smoking

Avoid inhaling second-hand smoke

The inhalation of second-hand smoke or passive smoking is as harmful as a smoking cigarette because cigarette smoke that flies around have the same amount of carcinogens which can cause cancer.

Carcinogens are cancer-causing chemicals. The exposure to these chemicals can cause changes in a normal cell, which can lead to lung cancer. More importantly, you are at risk of exposure to carcinogens at work, always follow employee precautions and if you are given a mask always wear it or else ask for the one. Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables

Eating nutritious food can lower the risk of developing lung cancer. Eat a diet that contains fruit and vegetables contain vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients. Ensure you get vitamins from natural sources like fruits and vegetables. Consuming vitamins in tablet form is not advisable.

Exercise

Exercise or physical activity play a vital role in reducing the risk of lung cancer. Besides that, it creates healthy blood supply and circulation.
